    Description
    Eleni received her Ph.D. in Pharmacology from University of Patras Medical School. She is currently leading the lipoprotein research group of our lab investigating the cross-talk between the lipoprotein transport system and the hepatic and adipose tissues in metabolic syndrome with particular emphasis in the HDL metabolic pathway.

    Description
    Caterina received her Ph.D. in Physiology from the Department of Biology, University of Patras in Greece. Following a 5-year post-doctoral training at Harvard University, she moved back to Greece where she is currently leading the metabolic research group of our lab, investigating the cross-talk between lipoproteins and mitochondrial metabolic activity in energy sensining and utilizing tissues, using experimental mouse models.

    Description
    Effie joint our group in September 2014, after completing her Ph.D thesis work in the University of Patras Department of Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Vynios. In our lab she is studying mechanisms involved in diabetes development in metabolic syndrome.

    Katerina received her M.S in biochemistry from the University of Patras Department of Chemistry. She is currently working on the role of apolipoprotein E in obesity and related metabolic disturbances.

    Description
    Lilia received her bachelor in Biology from Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki. and her Master's degree in Pharmacology from the Basic Sciences Graduate program of the Department of Medicine at the University of Patras. Currently she is working towards her Ph.D in our laboratory. Her research project is focused on the qualitative characterization of HDL functions in morbidly obese humans.

    Description
    Eva received her bachelor in Biology from Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki. then she enrolled the graduate program in basic medical sciences of the University of Patras Medical School. As part of her research work equirement, Eva joined our laboratory where in the fall of 2014 she received her master's degree. Hes master's thesis work focused on the effects of cold exposure on the lipoprotein transport system in experimental mice. Currently, Eva is a Ph.D student working on the study of diabetes pharmacology and physiology.

    Description
    Christina received her B.Sc diploma from the Department of Biological applications and technologies of the University of Ioannina. Then she completed her M.Sc studies in Pharmacology at the University of Patras Medical School, graduate program in Basic Medical Sciences. She is currently a Ph.D. student, investigating the effects of natural human apoE isoforms on pancreatic β-cell function and peripheral tissue insulin sensitivity.

    Eugenia received her bachelor in Chemistry from the University of Patras. She is currently enrolled in the graduate program in basic medical sciences of the University of Patras Medical School.
